Instead of bands, the appliance is bonded directly to the posterior teeth using acrylic pads, eliminating the need for band selection, fitting, and cementation. This simplifies chairside procedures and reduces overall appointment time. The bonded design improves patient comfort and hygiene while providing reliable anchorage and predictable maxillary expansion.
