By eliminating bands and bonding directly to the posterior teeth, the appliance is quicker to place and better tolerated by patients. The fan-type screw enables greater anterior expansion with minimal posterior widening, making it ideal for targeted transverse correction while maintaining posterior stability. The exposed screw allows straightforward activation and adjustment during treatment.
